John Gutknecht has been promoted to the position of director, global marketing for the Industrial business unit. Gutknecht, who was previously senior manager, integrated marketing, will report to Craig McDonnell, vice president, sales and marketing.
“As we continue to develop our ‘go-to-market’ strategy, integrating sales and marketing is key to effectively reach and serve our customers,” says McDonnell. “I have charged John with working to fully integrate marketing within our regional commercial structure.” Gutknecht is a TE veteran in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He joined the company as a global network manager for Corcom, which TE acquired in 2002.
In a related move, TE has appointed Joachim Klein as lead of industry marketing for its Industrial Business Unit in EMEA, effective Oct. 1. Based in Darmstadt, Klein will report to Steffen Lindner, EMEA sales director. Klein has been working for TE since January 2016, as senior manager of business development. In his new role, he will be responsible for determining “go-to-market” strategy in the EMEA region. He will also execute a regional marketing plan.
