Taurus Group is a multilocal business group with 56 years of experience meeting the needs of homes around the world. The group recently introduced the first double blender under their Solac brand. This innovative blender includes a 2.5-liter blender jar and two 2GO! bottles made with the Eastman Tritan™ copolyester.

Solac will offer this double blender in Mexico during the last quarter of 2018 under the name Orbit. The Solac Orbit is the first double blender that brings the national market all the advantages that have made Tritan the premium material for food contact products around the world.

The collaboration between Solac and Eastman arose from the need to offer the market a durable and high-quality product. To demonstrate its durability and enhance user satisfaction, the Solac Orbit carries a 5-year warranty on the blender jar as well as the 500-mL bottles.

“One of most used household appliances in the kitchen is the blender,” says Maria Fernanda Riestra Ampudia, Solac’s senior manager of marketing and product for Mexico and Central America. “The Orbit provides the home and professional segments with excellent performance, power and durability at a fair and accessible price. By offering the practicality of performing two grindings at the same time, it also can reduce preparation time.”

The large 2.5-liter blender jar utilizes both blender drives to grind food ingredients at a cellular level without leaving fibrous residues or chunks of food and ice. The 2GO! containers provide single-serve preparation flexibility. All Tritan vessels are shatter resistant and easy to clean.

Tritan offers many advantages over glass and traditional plastics, including the ability to resist stains and withstand temperature changes without cracking or crazing. After preparing hot beverages, users can simply wash the container and blend a refreshing ice-cold drink without losing clarity or durability.

Orbit is ideal for anyone with a passion for preparing food and drinks while avoiding shattered glass and messy cleanup—from food lovers to cocktail specialists to those interested in healthy cooking and nutritious smoothies.

According to Rogério Dias, specialty plastics sales manager for Eastman in Latin America, “Regarding blender jars, there is often a preference for glass as the go-to material over plastics. However, Tritan offers all the advantages of a premium BPA-free material with lower weight, greater impact resistance and superior clarity.”

“Tritan is an excellent quality material for our Orbit blender,” adds Guillermo Freyria Pérez, who is responsible for Solac’s innovation and development. “It complements perfectly the promise of durability while solving the biggest problems of glass and giving consumer greater benefits.”
