The current processing capacity Indian Plastic Industry is 30 MMT (Million Metric Tonne). The investment made by Indian Plastic Industry is US $5 Billion. The growth of Indian Plastic Industry expected for financial year 2015-2020 is 10.5%. In fact, the growth value of Indian Plastic Industry in financial year 2016 was Rs. 100,000 Crore. Strikingly, the number of processing machines in Indian Plastic Industry is 113,000 with more than 200 plastic machinery manufacturing units in India. At any rate, the market for plastics processing equipment is expected to grow 5.6% annually through 2021. This represents an improvement over 2011-2016 periods, boosted by an improving global economy. More stable economic conditions will encourage plastics processors to replace older machinery and undertake capacity expansions.
