TOMRA Sorting Recycling’s AUTOSORT FLAKE features triple-sorting capability to deliver high-precision plastics material sorting. AUTOSORT FLAKE combines color detection and enhanced material information to maximize the recovery of high-quality recycled products, which markets now demand.

Innovative next-generation sensor technology found in AUTOSORT FLAKE delivers precise analysis of waste-stream flakes by color, enhanced material information and metal objects simultaneously. Its twin-processing mode offers customer the best possible waste throughput combined with a constant high-caliber output, all from one machine.

“AUTOSORT FLAKE does the job of two separate machines with a much higher degree of precision, reducing the loss of desirable material,” comments Carlos Manchado Atienza, regional director, Americas for TOMRA Sorting, Inc. “We worked extensively with customers during the development process of AUTOSORT FLAKE in order to offer a complete bottles-to-flake solution for upgrading plastics with the highest and most consistent yield in the industry.”

AUTOSORT FLAKE deploys TOMRA’s patented FLYING BEAM® technology combined with the FOURLINE 2mm optic module, which delivers the highest available near infrared (NIR) resolution of any sensor-based sorting equipment. This provides customers with continuous calibration to eliminate errors, which results in costly downtime. It also delivers low maintenance requirements and low energy consumption.
