Mold Hotrunner Solutions Inc. (MHS) continues to grow its flagship line of cooling-free, zero maintenance valve gate actuators to cover a full range of injection molding applications. The technology is quickly replacing conventional valve gates as mold makers and molders adopt the simpler, more durable solutions. Both product lines for the new internally actuated Rheo-Pro iVG nozzles and the manifold mounted Black Box cylinders have been expanded to bring their “bulletproof” performance to plastic part applications of every size and for every industry. The products are built entirely without o-rings so that practically no amount of heat or force can wear them out, even at temperatures of 850°F. Since the pistons have no soft seals or lubrication, they require virtually no maintenance over the life of a mold. This delivers a definite advantage over other pneumatic, hydraulic or electric shut-off actuators, not just for high temp materials but for all valve gate projects.

“Valve gating is still very much a growth market as manufacturers around the world move to automated and more efficient injection molding production. We feel we now have the most reliable and user friendly hot runner systems in the world and we plan to disrupt that space.”
– Harald Schmidt, President

MHS will showcase the latest products at NPE 2018 (Booth W8081).

The company is celebrating its 15 year anniversary last year. In the time since it launched in early 2002, MHS has established itself as a global technology leader in the field of valve gate hot runner systems. MHS enjoyed record growth in 2016 and 2017. Revenue grew by 40% and the company recently increased its workforce in North America by 25% to meet strong customer demand in the medical, automotive, packaging and appliance sectors. In 2018 MHS will continue to drive growth in both established and emerging markets around the globe with a focus on design simplicity and absolute reliability for automated injection molding solutions. The company invested heavily in R&D and manufacturing upgrades during the past decade and the result is a portfolio of exciting new products and approaches to valve gating that feature compact design, offer more processing control and require less mold maintenance.
